As part of a strategy to better communicate and understand the issues confronting its member clubs the Yachting Victoria Executive is experimenting with holding some of its monthly meetings with its member clubs and regions. The first night was a great success and hosted by the Westernport Region member clubs at HMAS Cerberus Hastings on Tuesday October 18. The format of the meeting was that Westernport members observed the Executive meeting between 4pm and 7pm followed by a brief dinner and then a discussion about the important issues the clubs in that region are concerned about. Westernport Region clubs, have achieved and enviable level of cooperation as was evidenced by their presentation at the recent Club Conference – and their passion for their sport and region on the night ensured a very worthwhile evening.
