The Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (BYS) is one of the largest yacht clubs in Victoria with over 1200 members and a Safe Boat Harbour containing 170 berths. Located near the western tip of the Mornington Peninsula, Blairgowrie is a popular holiday destination for many Melburnians. 

With some exciting projects being undertaken, the BYS Committee is seeking to solidify and expand the delivery of their Sail training and development services with the appointment of a:

Training & Development Manager

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Club’s Training & Development committee, in addition to members of the General Committee and its Flag Officer’s, you will be responsible for the day-to-day sail training and development activities of the club.  

This position is being offered as a full-time appointment based at BYS. The individual will manage a broad range of sail training and other development services to BYS members, notably to its junior and youth members.

To be successful in this position, you are likely to possess proven coaching, sail training and management experience. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will have an ability to interact and manage a variety of stakeholder relationships.

Knowledge / background in yachting and/or other aquatic pursuits is essential and there is an expectation of flexibility to work weekends and extended hours.   If you have an outgoing personality, are highly motivated and a team player then this is the role for you!
