In the lead up to the Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta (AWKR), Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS) will again be hosting the popular Regatta Lecture Series which are free and open to everyone. They are held on Wednesday nights at 7pm in the Harbour Room. Dinner is available prior to the lectures in the Olympic Room. All dinner bookings can be made via email to olympicbar@rmys.com.au.
Johnny Rodgers was appointed as Head Coach to the sailing team at the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) in late 2009. Johnny was previously the Development Manager at Yachting Victoria and Head Coach at Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club. Johnny’s other coaching credentials are; Head Coach of the New Zealand 470 Easter Camp, Coach to the Victorian 29er World’s team and the New Zealand High Performance Academy Coach. Johnny was awarded with Yachting Victoria’s Coach of the Year award in 2009.
