Congratulations to Sarah Ogilvie (Blanks), who has been appointed to the role of Sailability Coordinator (Part Time).
We are delighted that Sarah will be joining the Yachting Victoria/Sailability Victoria team. Working with the Sailability Committee, Sarah will focus on participation based initiatives across the network of Sailability centres, as well as on the true inclusion of Sailability programs and Sailability sailors into club activities.
Sarah brings to the role a wealth of sailing, coaching and education based experience. Most notably she has competed in two Olympic Games, has coached at international, state and club level, and recently completed a Diploma of Education. Sarah has fulfilled the role as an Olympic Education Ambassador for the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC). Sarah has also completed a Bachelor of Design degree at Swinburne University and was instrumental in the design and roll-out of recent YV sailing pathway collateral. Sarah also keeps busy as the mother of one year-old Matilda.
Sarah is taking part in some induction activities this week before her official start next week and then will be in attendance at the Club Conference on Saturday 4 August.
Sarah will be in contact with you at some stage soon, and meanwhile, please join me in welcoming her to the Sailability team.
