Club Conference– The future of yachting in Victoria The annual YV Club Conference was attended by around 60 people from throughout the State who contributed to a presentation and discussion about the future of yachting in Victoria. It’s a vital issue for all club officials. The supporting presentation is at www.yachtingvictoria.com.au under YV Committees / General Meetings
Club Survey the Annual Club Survey that measures your views on YV’s performance was also distributed at the conference – it’s also available for download at www.yachtingvictoria.com.au . Deadline for us receiving them is Friday October 6. As soon as the results are compiled we’ll let you know how you think we are going. (otherwise we’re assuming club officials are happy with what we are doing.)
Membership Renewal Time – the YV office is starting to receive calls from members looking for their silver cards. As the cards are automatically produced when MyClub is updated, there is little we can do but refer them back to your club. (it takes about 3 weeks for them to be printed & mailed)
Sail Melbourne after over 10 years of dedicated leadership building Sail Melbourne to be Australia’s leading and only international ISAF grade 1 Event, Kevin Wood has resigned. Media announcements and farewell recognition are being organised. The search for a replacement is underway with discussions being held with several interested people for this high profile and important role for yachting in Victoria.
